This Privacy Policy explains how Baby Kit (“Baby Kit”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Baby Kit mobile app and website (the “Service”). Baby Kit helps parents and caregivers create personalized baby checklists. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in encrypted form). We never store your password in plain text.
• Checklist questionnaire. To build your personalized checklist, we collect the answers you provide in the guided questionnaire — for example your baby’s due date or age, your budget, and your preferences.
• Generated content. The baby checklists created for you are stored and associated with your account so you can access them again.
• Purchase records. When you buy in-app items (coins), we receive a confirmation of the purchase from the app store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Contact messages. If you write to us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message so we can reply.
• Basic device & usage data. Like most apps, we may process limited technical information (such as device type and app version) needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To generate and store your personalized baby checklists.
• To create and authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• To process in-app purchases and unlock the content you buy.
• To respond to your messages and provide support.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

To generate your personalized checklist, we send the relevant answers from your questionnaire to our AI provider, OpenAI, which processes them on our behalf to produce the checklist. We do not send your email, password, or purchase details for this purpose. Under OpenAI’s API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train their models.

4. Third parties and service providers

We share information only with providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

• OpenAI — to generate your checklists (see section 3).
• Apple App Store and Google Play — to process in-app purchases. Your payment is handled directly by the store under its own privacy policy.
• Our email provider — to deliver and receive messages sent through the contact form.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal data associated with it, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.

6. Children’s privacy

Although Baby Kit is about babies, it is intended for use by adults — parents and caregivers. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time:

• Directly through our account deletion page, or
• By emailing us at contact@babykit.online.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and secure connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by the service providers described above. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Policy.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
